Weekly Recap; Feb 4th – Feb 10th

I find it a little crazy at how close Valentine’s Day actually is from today!

Bubba and I haven’t gotten on FFXIV to do the Valentine’s Day event (granted the mount you get sucks, but still this is the first holiday event since we’ve been together that we haven’t done) or taken Valentine’s Day photos!

Whomp!

I’ve tried posting as many Valentine’s Day themed posts as I can, some I haven’t even gotten around to yet and others are still recaps of 2017. I mayyyy post publish those… we’ll see. I mean after all it’s just a place to archive my year for me, right?

Weekly Recap; Jan 21st – Jan 27th

OHMYFUCKINGOD.

I SWEAR.

WHOEVER FUCKIN LIVES UPSTAIRS DOESN’T KNOW HOW TO FUCKIN WALK. Like WHY. WHY DO YOU WALK SO DAMN LOUD. DO YOU NOT HEAR YOURSELF STOMPING AROUND?!? And if they’re not stomping around they’re walking around in heels. AT FUCKIN MIDNIGHT TO 2AM. Not to mention they DROP SHIT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT that sounds like it’s going to break my fuckin ceiling. WHAT IN GODS NAME DO PEOPLE DO TO BE SO FUCKIN LOUD.

I’m literally blasting music to drown it out right now because I’m just not in the damn mood.

Recap 2017; Top 7 Favorite Food Finds

I thought writing this entry would be easy… but as I was (endlessly) scrolling through my photos of food of 2017 I realized… this isn’t going to be as easy as I thought.

In my mind 2017 was divided between the last bit of my life in Florida and the beginning bit of my life in Texas; through Ubereats I discovered a lot of food I fell in love with before I left Florida and through DoorDash and adventures with Bubba there’s a lot of food I discovered in Texas. But I tried to narrow it down to the foods I would go back to. So while this isn’t a complete list of foods I found to be my favs this is a list of foods I loved enough to buy more than twice.

Let’s start with what I discovered in Florida:

Hello

Krispy Kreme adventures

I’m part of the Krispy Kreme rewards program (because when I lived in Florida I had to get my weeks worth every weekend) and I had gotten an email about half off a dozen assorted donuts so naturally I was like, hell yes.

I absolutely appreciate that my boyfriend knows that the majority of the time I buy snacks to take photos of them. And he totally understands. Well, as much as he can.

So we went and grabbed a dozen donuts and I had the hardest thing picking which ones. But the chocolate sprinkles are by far my favs!

Sadly the Snowman was crushed on the way home.

Food

Snack; Dragon’s Breath

I don’t remember where I came across Dragon’s Breath from — but I’m gonna assume Instagram as that’s where I come across 90% of my food discoveries. As far as I know though there were only primarily places in SoCal to get this (as it seems like that’s suddenly the hub for getting the newest types of snacks, lucky them!) so when I saw a kiosk at the mall here selling them on Black Friday I didn’t waste much time picking one up.

It was actually really hard to snap a photo of the smoke coming off of it! And sadly that effect didn’t last too long.

They’re dumped into I believe Nitrogen and flash frozen. So touching one is like touching a frozen pole, stuff like that freaks me out so I used the pokey stick. My boyfriend however didn’t care too much and just started popping them in his mouth.

The crunch to them was kinda painful in that “tooth freeze” kind of way but you did blow out smoke as you bit down on it. It was a cool effect even if you couldn’t yourself see yourself do it. And even if it was just for a short time.

The taste overall for this snack however I didn’t care too much for… I thought they were cereal balls and my boyfriend said they were Cheetos. I think I read somewhere they ARE Cheetos of some sort… despite the bright colors? Strange.

(Also strange, I’m listening to relaxing sounds on YouTube right now that claim to rid you of headaches and anxiety and my headache is slowly fading, uhm has this practice always been a thing?!)

It was a pretty fun experience but not something I’d make a habit of doing. But glad I could cross it off my foodie bucket list!

Have you ever or ever wanted to try Dragon’s Breath?

Weekly Recap; Nov 12 – Nov 18th

NaNoWriMo really helps you be aware of how far in the month November really is. And how much you didn’t do/get done lol. But I must admit, November so far has been very very interesting…

Food | Snack Review; Peeps Oreo

IMG_1575

I just realized how long it’s been since I wrote anything about food on this blog.

I decided to review these Peeps Oreo’s.

I’m a sucker for limited edition snacks and I always seem to buy into them but I never end up reviewing or talking about them — which is strange. I don’t know why I have a habit of doing that.

Oreo’s aren’t really my jam unless they’re the Lemon ones, I don’t know what it is about Oreo’s, I just don’t really dig them too much. But they keep coming out with these LE flavors that just keep sucking me in. I mean just LOOK AT THOSE COLORS.

I’m not too much of a fan of Peeps even though I am a fan of marshallow. But there’s something about Peeps that’s just… I don’t know, weird. Though I was hoping that the marshmallow + Oreo cookies would be a nice combo.

The filling is a bright pink color incased in two golden cookies.

I wish I could tell you what it tastes like because in my opinion, the Oreo as a whole didn’t taste like anything.

I know some people were saying it’s so good and other people were saying it’s gross but I personally didn’t taste anything other than the cookies. The filling to me had absolutely no taste to it.

All in all this experience was a bit disappointing.
